Tuesday, 30 March 2010 22:45 Whats the point of working so hard??? Now i know that no matter how much efforts i put in, i'll never ever ever be appreciated.. Have it ever dawned on your words could kill??? You asked me why i kept falling ill when i submitted my MC to you.. My answer to you, was that maybe i am just too stressed up coping with work & the wedding preps altogether.. Your reply??? Actually, its as good as not having you!!! Have it ever dawned on you the hurts you've inflicted on me when making that statement??? For a moment, i was dumbfounded... I wanted to retaliate, but no words came out from my mouth or should i say i couldn't find the right words to... I walked away feeling dejected, rejected & unappreciated... Your words, unknowingly to you, had torn me apart... So what if you're a manager?? So what i report to you?? Does it give you the authority to put me down the way you did??? Have i not displayed diligence or put in extra efforts in my work?? You said i was slow (in your own perspective..) So i came into office earlier... You said i was not meticulous enough.. So i made sure i checked my work twice (although at times i still err - do you think i would purposely leave a mistake for you to tell me off??) before sending it to you for signatory... Do you not think that you're indirectly stressing me out with you zero mistake policy?? Like Uncle Toh said - 要快,要好,又要马儿不吃草... Can you tell me what is it that you want from me??? The department crossover was a grievous mistake right from the very start... First, i got my salary deducted, which i had to accept, reluctantly... Then came the rule that i had to be the stand in receptionist (in the afternoons) whenever the receptionist goes on leave.. I accepted it too, although i'm unwilling... The HR even went to the extend of asking me to cover lunchtime too, which meant i had to lunch in without being reimbursed... To which, i fiercely rejected, & all i gotten was a black face from the HR assistant... Why should i lunch in when i don't get any reimbursement?? Why should i put up with the black face of that HR assistant each time i get back from lunch whenever i'm supposed to stand in?? If the HR manager could arrange rotating stand in duties in the mornings, then why not at noon?? I didn't understand, but now i know... Mornings are the busiest, & i'm needed for order processings... The busi-ness would die down by late morning, & i would have tonnes of paper works/filing to do, before rushing off for a late lunch & rush back to cover the reception duties.. Do you know/understand of the tremendous stress i'm being put under??? Why not just transfer me back to the reception job with comparably less stress, more time (to blog, surf net, 'shake leg' & more income?? I'm already trying my very best to do my best... But i don't think you see my efforts.. In fact, you saw it as a 理所当然 kind of thing... I'm but human.. Not some superwoman... I seriously need your encouragements & not your putting down... Even if i fall seriously short of your expectations of me, i still think that some comments are better off being kept to yourself.... thankyou... |
