I think the economic downturn is taking a toll on many companies, making them act like desperados, wanting to make business & strike a quick deal with their 'potential clients...'

As a matter of factly, i found it ultra irritating, simply because they can make 3consecutive calls, in a span of less than 5 minutes.. Yes 5 minutes... No joke...

Its not as if i'm saying that they can't make those cold calls.. But, 3 calls in a span of less than 5 minutes is too ridiculous.. (i think)

They call, they repeat the same old thing all over again, & i had to abruptly stop them & say:

ya.. i know.. you looking for the IT Dept right?

Then, they'll say yes..

Then i'll have to transfer the call again, again & again, each time hoping that the IT guy would be there to pick the call....

My the other IT guy is away on long leave & that leaves only one guy in the dept.. They actually do have an attachment student here, but it is not our practice to have the attachment student to answer to such calls, simply because attachment students here keep changing like every 3 months.. (i think)

Anyway, my main point is, i understand that you're just trying to pitch a sales to add to your whatever commission, but i think
making 3 calls in less than 5 minutes is totally unacceptable..

The best part is, no matter how irritating you guys are, i still have to keep my cool & tell you nicely to call later to try.. I think thats the hardest for me thus far, in my job as a Receptionist...

I love meeting people & have people tell me that my chirpy voice & bubbly character makes their day, because it just makes my day too, seriously.. (=

But, this kind of sales pitch calls are best to be kept to the minimum coz its pissing me off with your radio-like-sales-speech...

Back off please.. Or at the most least, it would be better if you can do me the favour of calling in an interval of 30 minutes @ least, coz its not as if the call is an urgent one..

So, please ok.. Give me & my IT guy(s)some peace. Your little efforts would be greatly appreciated...
