LKK is going to JB with his Mum for CNY shopping this weekend...

He asked me to tag along..

But there are a couple of concerns here...

First & foremost, the trip is subject to the approval of my Dad, which i hope to get the go-ahead...

Then, there are safety issues to worry about while shopping there...

Being a avid reader of The New Paper, i've read my fair share of daylight robbery happening almost everyday.. Then, there is the countless North South Highway accidents that took the innocent lives of fellow Singaporeans..

Also, risk losing your personal belongings should you be too engrossed in your shopping. Lagi best, if you are remanded in Malaysia, & accused of entry without proper documentations...

Its the festive period, & many are hungry for monies. So they rob, they steal, they kill...

I'm not being paranoid here, but having read all the news reports in the last 2 weeks, (@ least 4 of them, & there is yet another one in today's paper) & the fact that my sister's friend's Mum was robbed & badly beaten up while shopping in JB.. She died of serious injuries there, & never made it home...

What started as a innocent trip up there, ended brutally.. A outcome, totally unexpected...

I would dare say, that my worries are totally NOT UNCALLED for, as the saying goes PREVENTION IS ALWAYS BETTER THAN CURE.. In the case of my sister's friend, there was NO CURE...

Its a life, gone just like that....

The snatch thief had sure gotten what he wanted, but a life was lost... His greed, that costed TOO MUCH....

Went to JB last December, with 5 others, & we always made sure that we stayed close together.. Dad, BIL & Dear was out to make sure that nothing happened...

But, this time round, it would be just MIL, him, & myself - thats if Dad let me go..

Thats why i can't stop worrying... I'm not being paranoid here...
