I've still got another 2 hours of rotting here, before calling it a day...

I've already done with whatever i was supposed to do since 2pm, meaning i've rotted for the past 2 hours, apart from the occasional phone calls that comes in.. The phone today is exceptionally quiet, & i wonder why...

I've got totally nothing to do now.. All i do is surf net.. Thats what i've been doing, for the last 2 hours, & i'm done with almost all the possible sites... (Been doing it for many hours since late last year)

I'm bored....!!!!

I just answered a call, with the lady asking for Andy, my boss who is on MC. She, then asked me for his mobile.

I told her that it was not very convenient (since he was on MC, plus the fact that he was my BOSS), how can i any-old-how give his number to anyone..??

Then she shot back:

She: So you mean that if he's away, everything stops..??

Me: No. But can i know whats the purpose of your call, so i can transfer you to the next person available..??

She: Why must you know? So if i want to buy safety shoes also have to tell you??? (In a not-very-nice tone)

Me: Oh so you want to buy safety shoes??

She: YA!!

Me: Oh ok.. Can i transfer you to the sales dept?

She: And he is..??

Me: Let me transfer you to Wilson ok?

She: ok thanks!!!

I just don't understand..

I mean, why need she be so nasty...??

Why must she ask to speak to my BOSS if she only wants to buy safety shoes..?? Does my boss do sales..??

If yes, whats the point of having a sales team here..??

Then, when i asked her for the purpose of her call, why can't she just tell me, so i can transfer her to the correct person..??

If like she said, i NEED NOT know the purpose of the call, then why did my company need a Receptionist anyway..???
